I happened to look up this morning as I was glancing over the smarmy chosen few purportedly “news” stories being touted by the corporate media and saw this accidental imagery on my husband’s computer screen. I asked him to do a screen capture and send it to me. It doesn’t show either composite picture in its entirety but it gives a chilling visualization of how far we’ve come — in the wrong direction — since the first portrait of bUsh (emphasis on U because you haven’t acted) created from the faces of our dead due to their handling and exploitation as corporate mercenaries circulated on the internet. Look how far we’ve come. All the way from one psycho bUsh to psycho wannabe Insane McCain. Yes, I’m pissed, outraged , grieving, and murderously agitated that we’ve reached tombstone (definitely not a milestone as milestones are supposed to mark achievements) publicly acknowledged number of 4000 U.S. military dead. And unfortunately this number doesn’t come anywhere close to showing the HORRIFIC numbers actually associated with this immolation of a people.
I’m going to go throw up.

I’m a Soldier in the U.S. Army and when I heard news of the 4000 death mark I became sick to my stomach. I’m lucky enough to have been to Iraq and return home to my family but so many of my fellow Soldiers have not been as fortunate. And in my heart i feel like every one of those 4000 deaths our president is to be blamed for.
We’ve opened up a discussion on our blog so I can talk to people and answer their questions and hopefully make people understand that not all military are supporting this war and that every one of those deaths was important and unneeded. I’d like it you’d stop by and toss in your two cents.
I’m all for defending my country but U.S. did not need to be defended from Iraq.

Mike –
First, thank you for serving your country and being willing to lay down your life to protect me. There is no greater calling than to serve others and to risk your life doing so elevates you to hero.
Secondly, thank you for calling your blog to my attention. I will go to it right now and read and participate as seems appropriate.
Thirdly, you are right about Bush and if we don’t somehow manage to convince chicken hawks in Congress to Impeach then Bush will pardon all his buddies on the last few days in office and we will have sabotaged any chance of being able to bring the war criminals in the Bush Administration to justice in the future.

This composite is scary. Simply frightning.

Anonymous posted a link to a site. I do not participate in arguments with ignorant people; it seems like a waste of time. Ignorant isn’t dumb. Ignorant is simply choosing to ignore verifiable facts about something. Dumb is not having a voice. When I went to the site the posters there definitely had a voice, albeit a largely uninformed one from the view of the posts I scanned.
Probably a Freeper site — and I encourage people to avoid giving traffic to such idiocy.
My blog header says I have a perspective. I admit my biases. I also search, research, and revisit information constantly. I rarely offer unsupported opinion. One of the main reasons I will not argue is that I’ve worked as a professional researcher and I know how to find basic facts.
People who choose to ignore facts and are then vocal about their uninformed, unsupported opinions are not worth my time and certainly not worth a link back.
These blind men are the rubes of corporations that rule the world. They often say that my use of the word corporate as a negative adjective means that I’m a left wing nut. These folks don’t know what the real left wing is like if they think I’m a “leftist.” I am progressive in the current meaning of the word. I believe we have a responsibility to care for our brothers and sisters in humanity.
I feel sorry for those without a voice and those who cannot understand that a very few families under the auspices of the immortal and shape-shifting corporations that make up the oligarchy that is murdering our world.
I am both sad and livid that ignorant men (for the most part) are spewing the propaganda of the very entities that are keeping them down and feeding the frustration of their powerlessness. These are the same jerks who hurl individual insults and attempt to intimidate protesters at small vigils but who are notoriously absent at large gatherings.

Daisy, yes it is frightening. How many more men and women do we have to sacrifice for a war that is only hurting the majority of the people of the country in whose name it is supposedly being fought.
