Over the next year(or so) you can ride along with me

Please join me along this crazy coming year’s path!

This disjoint list, below, is really a bunch of what will probably become things I will do after I finally revamp my entire website. This website reorganization, publishing my course and workbook, and figuring out how to be organized enough to have a handle on social media posting, in my mind rest on having an attractive and easy to parse website that links to the right stuff. I told myself I was going to hire someone to revamp it for me… but I lied. I actually want to do it myself. Somehow it comforts me to craft the contextual and structural container that holds my words and gives them a home. I have procrastinated and procrastinated and procrastinated over pulling the lever on this decision.

IT IS GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL, COLORFUL TRIP

with things we’ll do and that you can watch me either accomplish or not accomplish — so you can feel happy for me or enjoy some schadenfreude.

• I will let you see the mess of my home
  • and document how I deal with each element of disorder
  • as I confront it and bring it into an ordered, and maintainable, set of
• also will develop a schema for remodeling my home with options
  • to age-in-place
  • divide my home into a rentable half and into my favorite regular old half of my house that will remain my home but with cool features I have always wanted
  • have room by room stand alone mini-split hvac units, and other energy saving features
• create snippets, observables, for social media as “The Legacy Lady”
• create a photo site for licensing my own memoir images (not everyone owns a shoebox of old photos images to use on their blog of legacy stories)
• write about mending fences and final gifts, if your child will have no children, and about how old friends were easy, new ones are treasures
• create avenue to discuss how to write a memoir or tell your stories
• discuss how to make an impact through writing auto-ethnography (something that can provide cultural details for future scholars)
• figure out best practices for developing community (do this while I figure out how to do this, 1.for the next twenty-five years (how much time I have if I live as long as my mom did) or 2. for the next ten years (if I have live longer than my brothers did.)
• develop access to legacy-related products on a forum for discussion of legacy challenges and coping strategy.

This “decision” is actually one about my entire business, about much more than a web design, which I plan to busy myself, in a successful manner, for the rest of my life.
