It is Tuesday and I so wanted to have puppies with me in the car for the last day, but when we got to the breeder’s place we encountered puppies that at 10 weeks of age were smaller than our previous Neapolitan puppies were at 6 to 8 weeks. Much smaller. Before we arrived we knew that the littler was for the most part not show quality as the breeder had told us that. But we did not know until we arrived that the litter had a “water baby” that kept the others from thriving or that the pups were exceptionally small to the point of being half the size they should be. The breeder was encouraging us to take one of the smallest ones, either the one that had lost all its hair and was regrowing it or the one that had growths at the corner of its left eye. She still wanted just under a $1000 for these puppies that were going to need a lot of medical care.
Sad, sad, sad. But we did stop in and see the family of Hubby’s old friend for a bit. Then we drove through Kentucky to Indiana. We wanted to stop and get a hotel in Kokomo, but there were no available rooms in the town. Peru, IN that is Circus Town USA did have a couple rooms left.
Then we arrived where our grand children are staying. No time to post after this!
