This month I hope to show you a new version of this site, and my other sites, as coordinated aspects of my online expression. I will still use WordPress as my platform, host on WP Engine, and use the Genesis framework, but I will be shifting around the theme and settings.
I will be busy with this all summer. And for me summer begins today. As I said in a post on Facebook earlier today,
Call it May Day or Beltane, celebrate with dancing and ribbons, or with fire, today is the center of Spring in northern climes and the start of Summer in the southern parts of the U.S. Breathe it in. Let it energize us to act in a way that benefits all those who live and will live on our dear Gaian planet Earth.

In the post comments, I suggest reading an earlier post on The Merry Merry Month of May. It is a good post.
Wish me luck on this endeavor. I need a platform that matches where I am in life. I can’t find one ready made, never have been able to, so I have to make it myself. This is something I’ve done many times before. I keep changing, and so does technology. Re-invention. Ah, reinvention!
As some of you may have noticed, I abandoned my A to Z of Memory project as part of a challenge just over a week or so into it. (Actually, I will finish it, just not right now.) I was hit with a massive, intense bout of depression. I usually manage my ongoing battle with depression fairly well. My personal life hasn’t changed and my white privilege shines like a lighthouse beacon illuminating a path where I can steer clear of most of the shallows, boulders, shipwrecks, and pointy hurtful things.
It has been more and more difficult for me to live with the destruction of the democracy and principles I love. Seriously. I personally feel pain from the vitriol that spews from selfish powers that are usurping the lovely and uplifting notion that all people are created equal and deserve liberty, justice, and an even playing field so as to be able to pursue their own happiness and well-being.
Maybe my writing will help to level it a bit. That is my hope. The next year will need so many women’s voices and wisdom.
