I have to admit that the writing prompt, “in my bathroom,” on GBE2 had me stumped. Stumped until I remembered that somewhere in the vast caverns of unorganized digital storage there was a picture that was perfect to spin off.
This is the pic:
Hooking up a washer and dryer, finally, after having the space and hook-ups ready for a long, long time was a wonderful, but challenging task.
I had to wait for the old washer and dryer to give up the ghost, because we are are frugal people. And actually they were still sort of ka-chunking along on a remaining couple of functioning settings, when a small bit of unspoken for money became available to me. I got the stackable front-loading full size units for which I had been lusting for a year or so.
Hubby, the man with his feet firmly planted on the ground, was supervising the installation. But the poor young, thin plumber is the one with his feet sticking out across the top of the washer, had a devil of a time making the last connections. I am so glad I snapped this pic. It makes me smile every time I see it.
Anyway, I am so happy that finally, only 50 some years into this life's journey I have a washer and dryer in my bathroom in my master suite. Now if I could just get those kitchen cabinets finished.

It is only in this house that I’ve had a dishwasher, so I understand holding off.
Cool pic!

Hi Beth. I grew up with the “use it up, wear it out, make it do” mantra, and though I love my “modern” conveniences, I do try to find middle ground. It is a fun pic isn’t it?
