Okay, I’m an old lady. I guess I am. I am nothing like my mother or grandmother at my age, but though I am forever 32 in my head, I am in reality decades beyond that. But I felt the same giddy delight at being inside the pinnacle of women’s feminist and savvy business ecosystem when my step-daughter invited me to spend the day at the Wing in DUMBO. I write about this, a trip to NYC, that included this wonderful day in Brooklyn, a few months before the pandemic hit .

My recent discovery of AI painting gives me a similar thrill. The painting below in the style of Berthe Moriset derives from her legacy, her paintings and what is known about her.

Defining Purpose

I am ever attempting to define the scope of The Women’s Legacy Project. Happenstance thoughts congealed into something relevant to something I am trying to achieve. The last five years have been nothing if not a volatile, exploding, and shapeshifting sci-fi, mystery, horror sort of time-traveling roller-coaster ride. In recent times I have felt like quantum physics has upped the ante with its weirdness inserting itself into daily life.

At first, I just wanted a place to write about the threads of my life that were unexpectedly weaving into a tapestry depicting the life I would live without any accompaniment from anyone in the nuclear family I was born into. I did not even know I had a loom.

But then I realized that what I really wanted to do was to create ways and tools for women to find their own paths for giving to the future.

So What Is The Women’s Legacy Project For?

• WLP was created to assist women to tell their stories, in any manner they chose, using all the tools and perspectives available to them in the 21st Century.
• It was for self-help, but it did not intend to be a publisher.
• It was for encouraging the discovery of essential truths about life, and your life, no matter your age.
• It is about creating tools to help you do mature elder organizing.
• It is about helping women, who grew up before the information age, take their voices, stories, and concerns online.
• And it is about how individuals really can have an impact on saving and rebuilding any hope of having a democratic society for our children to work from as they reconstruct humanity upon a vastly different and volatile world none of us could have imagined as our future.

Geesh, that isn’t much to ask or do, right?

I have been trying to be apolitical, as much as I can be, in WLP, but our future is quite political, no matter the outcome of the US midterm elections on November 8th. So we must actively work toward building a world that is just and fit to leave to our daughters. It is a political endeavor, but the politics of rabid certainty and imposition of will need not enter into it.

One of the elements, of the reenergizing of WLP, is an underpinning of, or perhaps it is an overarching, belief that corporatism and justice cannot co-exist.
