#TucsonTuesday and a Tucson Tuesday Blog Hop

I love living in Tucson and I happen to think that autumn is the best time of the year here.  I’m not the only one who thinks this either.  Snow birds return to Tucson during the fall.  The temperature moderates but the sun still shines!  Life is good.
Tucson is an amazing place where people have lived for over 10,000 years, it is a place to where artists  and writers are drawn, we are a nexus in corridor of cultural exchange and innovation.   We are a great and vibrant place.

I am a member of several social media groups based here in Tucson.  These are meet-ups, blogging groups, and informal groups of friends.  We  have participated in city-wide celebrations of Tucson, and I love the emerging movement to promote local business and community that is taking hold in places all over the U.S.  In support of this effort to build community, I am inviting my bloggy, tweety, and pinning friends to participate in what I am calling Tucson Tuesday.  I am starting this Blog Hop as well as using

Tucson Tuesday Tweets

So, with a spirit of celebration, and in an effort to promote cooperation, I am starting to use a #TucsonTues hash tag (Tucson Tuesday — I used TucsonTues to save characters.)  Akin to the #ff hastag that promotes friends and persons well worth a follow on Twitter on Friday, Tuesdays for me, from now on will be locally focused on friends, and local businesses, groups, and events.
Please join in!  The only ground rule I hope to see observed is that we do not self-promte or promote non-local entities using #TucsonTues.  I am encouraging the social media groups and folks with whom I have connections to begin tweeting this today!  Of course you can also create Pinterest boards with a Tucson Tuesday theme and pin to them as well.
Are you in?  I am.  You can find me @nerthus
All you have to do to participate is participate!  Easy enough, right?

Tucson Tuesday Pins

I started a Pinterest Board called, predictably enough Tucson Tuesday.
I live in one of the most beautiful places on the globe!  You could start your own Tucson Tuesday board or…  contact me and I can pin something for you.  info (at) hillresearchservices (dot) com.

Tucson Tuesday Blog Hop

If you want to,  you may even join a blog hop to “advertise” that you are participating with a Tuesday post about Tucson from your blog #TucsonTues.  The only caveat is that blog hop posts may not be sponsored posts.
