R is for Repair and Replacement

R was supposed to be for “Two Romneys Don’t Make A Right” but I didn’t get that piece finished, geesh, in fact it was barely started when my internet connectivity finally crapped out.  I’ve been replacing parts of my information access system all the way from the off-Ramp from the information highway to my desktop computer connection which is where I like to work because of the big screen and multiple work windows I can use simultaneously for Research and writing.
And wascally wabbits are amused by Elmer Fudd’s Rhotacism.
And of course, R is  for Reading:

But in my life most recently “R” has primarily come in the form of Replacement equipment. First the modem and now the airport extreme. Our old equipment was pushing 10 plus years old and signal drop outs were getting in the way of internet access at certain times of day.
The new cable modem was the first step.  Cable Replacements were also done at that time.
I suspected our old, old, old airport express for our wireless system was also involved when there were still problems after we replaced the cable modem, but things were a little bit better, so we waited. And waited.
Finally the airport express was clearly the problem when it would show up, our modem clearly showed connectivity, but we would be booted off of be unable to join our own secured wireless network.  Finally convinced all who had to be convinced that our wireless network had to have a new wireless airport extreme 802.11n.  Tomorrow we purchase!  In the meanwhile I’m updating other things that I can do without connectivity.
I’m also working from other places.  And since my laptop is dead, and my daughter’s backup laptop 10 years old does not like to have its space bar work all the time and it runs at the speed with which plate tectonic movement occurs, and my iPad is difficult to post from even with the WordPress app.  I’m not sure when this will have images inserted and go live.
