I don’t often give advice. I speak my mind fairly often and sometimes rather loudly, but I don’t usually tell people what to do, and most of the time when I am angered, it is from someone telling me what to do or trying to force their will on me. So, when I suggest actions for others, such as I am doing in this post, I have given it some very serious thought.
Men have screwed up our politics, economy, and a few other things. I’m not male bashing. I am “just saying” that we need to act to create a better life for us all. Everyone knows that if Mom isn’t included in the planning that it doesn’t work. It doesn’t really matter what the “it” is, mothers, women, families have to be involved, considered in, and planned for or product or process will work only in the make-believe world that brought it forth. Men planning for men, and corporations planning for corporations exclude most of the real world. We have to plan for the real world and that means for communities in which the majority are women and or structures that support those communities.
Okay ladies, this is what we need to do:
- Work to get at least 30% of the U.S. House and Senate seats filled with women. Groups change into more well-functioning corporate bodies when at least 30% of the members are women.
- Buy local. Women control a majority of the funds spent to run households. By shifting to local sources for our purchases we can change the way our economy works, put people to work, be healthier, and increase the amount of money circulating in our communities.
- Read or listen or watch as unbiased of a news source as you can find at least three times a week. Double check the facts behind at least one story. Information is power. It isn’t good to lie to the Momma.
That is it. Lists don’t work if you can’t remember what is on them. If we all did these three things, but world would be a better place. Create a real representative government, buy from people you know, and watch the policy-makers.
These are politics-neutral options we can all carry out. Let’s work together to make the world a better place that works for us.
Go get ’em girls!
Let me know what you think, and what you’re doing.

Straightforward, easy to remember. Great advice! Now to spread the word beyond “the choir” :)!

Glad you like it. I’ve been trying to condense and disarm my sometimes loquacious hyperbole! I’m working on a BoomHer Manifesto…
